O estúdio é a 20th Century Fox.

TENHO TANTA PENA. *rebola no chão a rir*

Twelve-year-old Callum Hunt has grown up knowing three rules by heart. Never trust a magician. Never pass a test a magician gives you. And never let a magician take you to the Magisterium. Callum is about to break all the rules. And when he does, his life will change in ways he can’t possibly imagine.

Here’s my late wrap up post of the Bout of Books 7.0!

  • Finished The Girl With the Iron Touch
  • Read The Beautiful and the Cursed
  • Started The Collector and read half of it
  • and ignored Crossed because it was getting on my nerves

I missed one challenge, again shame on me, but I was so tired that day. O_O

And that’s it, many thanks to Amanda @ On a Book Bender, Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal, and to all the challenges&giveaways hosts, see you guys in the next Bout, take care readathoners!

DAY 6 PROGRESS

So I failed yesterday, I read 0 pages… I went to a friend’s birthday lunch which lasted the whole afternoon and when I finally arrived home I was so tired that I could barely lift the book I’m currently reading. O_O

DAY 5 CHALLENGE

Resummarize a Cover hosted by Queen Ella Bee Reads

What you have to do is pick one of the books you’ve either already read or plan to read for Bout of Books and write said book a new synopsis based on the cover alone.

the-beautiful-the-cursedI’m using The Beautiful and the Cursed by Page Morgan

My synopsis:

Young woman with a terrible sense of style—seriously, is that a leather dress?—likes to hang out in the terrace with the house gargoyles when it’s pouring rain. She’s a free spirit, very dauntless, and will sit in the railing with her legs dangling over to the outside if she feels like it, because she does what she wants.

DAY 4 CHALLENGES

Challenge #1: Acrostic Poem hosted by Harley Bear Book Blog

Remember back in elementary school when you would write your name vertically down the page then next to each letter you’d write an adjective describing yourself that starts with that letter?  Well that’s the idea for today except with…wait for it…books!

Challenge #2: Personify that Story hosted by Kimberly @The Simplicity

Match a story to a person—sounds simple, but it can definitely be challenging.  Have you read story or watched a character develop and thought it sounded just like your mom or favorite celebrity?  Well now it’s your opportunity to share.  Feel free to add pictures and explain why the two relate.

I’m going to use my favorite author yet again, Juliet Marillier, and a character from a book she wrote herself, Janet MacTavish, from Prickle Moon. This book is a compilation of novellas and Janet is the protagonist of the first one, the story that gives the book its title. Janet reminded me of Juliet because they are both sassy, brave, lovely wise women who care a lot about animals and always fight for what is right no matter the cost. Note that I don’t know if she wrote this character thinking about herself—well, maybe the part about loving animals, but the rest I have no idea, so I’m not cheating, promise! :p

DAY 3 CHALLENGE

Create a Cover hosted by I Talk Books!

The title is pretty self-explanatory. All you have to do is create an alternative cover for a book. You can either draw it or use an existing picture or you can photograph a cover with things around the house like pets, action figures etc. It’s totally depends on you. Just be original.

So I decided to remake the cover of East by Edith Pattou (one of my favorite books ever), using a fabulous piece of fanart I found by M.Findley:

east-of-the-sun-west-of-the-mooneast-alternate-cover

Not very original, I admit, but that drawing is SO BEAUTIFUL, I just had to.

And here’s another favorite, Wildwood Dancing by goddess Juliet Marillier, and you ask “why in the world would you remake a cover that was drawn by Kinuko Y.Craft?” I’m mad, that’s why.

Again, this is a brilliant piece of fanart by jenimal.

O Corvo

 hugh-dancy3hugh-dancy

(faço-me entender?)
