Read-a-thon! YEAH!!

I just love the Bout of Books because I always have lots of fun — so of course I joined the 4.0 edition! Thanks for organizing it again Amanda.  ;D

And without further ado, here are my goals:

  • Read every day
  • Participate in the challenges (hopefully in all of them)
  • Start and finish the following books:

The Girl in The Steel Corset, Kady Cross, 480 pages

One Night in Scotland, Karen Hawkins, 335 pages

The Folk Keeper, Franny Billingsley, 176 pages

Updates

Monday 5/14

What I’ve read today: 212 pages of The Girl in The Steel Corset, including the novella ‘The Strange Case of Finley Jayne’. So far I’m enjoying it!
Total of books I’ve read so far:

Challenge participation hosted by Sara @Sara Says Read: Bookish Question

“What do you like best about readathons? Do you have any readathon traditions or rituals? If this is your first readathon, what do you like so far? Discuss away!”

I read every day, and if I don’t then something is wrong, so participating in the read-a-thon shouldn’t be something so exciting, but turns out it is! I’m not sure why. Maybe because while I’m reading, in the back of my mind I know there are people reading with me — human beings don’t like to do things alone, it’s nice to belong in a group, any group. 😀

Other things I like about the event: the challenges! *so much fun* And to interact with my fellow readathoners, of course!

Read-a-thon traditions or rituals: don’t have any. But I’m thinking we should all get hats or t-shirts the next time. Or choose a snack. Or… oh wait, I do drink lots of cappuccinos during the event. Maybe that’s my ritual! Yay!

(Oh, and this is not my first readathon, I’ve been in quite a few by now. ;D)
