A Winter’s Respite ~ Goals + Challenge #1: TBR Pile Picture

23Jan12

Hosted by Michelle @The True Book Addict

Hi everyone, it’s read-a-thon time! (Again!) :D

And without further ado, here are the books I’m hoping to start and finish this week:

Magic Strikes which is the third installment in the Kate Daniels series (urban fantasy), Surrender by Pamela Clare (historical romance), and Snow by Tracy Lynn (YA, fairy tale retelling).

But I also need to finish the books I was reading before the event started: Birthmaked by Caragh M. O’Brien, and Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice. I think I’m in trouble. :0

And now, for the first mini-challenge, here’s my TBR pile picture, plus a quite pale wee bunny who just can’t stay away when there’s a camera involved:

  1. Great list of books! How are you liking Interview with the Vampire? Anne Rice is my favorite author! If you like Interview, you really must keep going with the series and read Queen of the Damned. It’s my favorite book…I’ve read it four times! Anyhoo, I hope you’re enjoying the read-a-thon. I’m so glad to have you joining me.

Be sure to stop by the blog and check out the mini-challenges, giveaways, and the prize page.

      Thanks Michelle!
I finished it already (Interview with the Vampire), I gave it a 3 out of 5. Not bad since I don’t usually like vampire books. This one was creepy… Lestat is reeeaally scary :0

      Will do! ;)

      • I love Lestat! He’s one of my most favorite fictional characters. If you read further into the series, he takes on more depth and he is a very conflicted and complex character.

How’s the read-a-thon going for you? What are you reading now? I hope you’re enjoying it!

Also, I have the mid-week read-a-thon mini-challenge posted. All the links to mini-challenges/giveaways are listed below the read-a-thon banner just above the post section (below the slide show). Stop on by!

        :)

It’s going great! I finished a book yesterday, and I’m almost done with Magic Strikes too. So maybe, just maybe, I’ll accomplish my goals, although I still have to finish Snow, and start Surrender. :0
